The Millennium Bridge is a suspension, pedestrian, steel bridge that crosses the River Thames as it passes through London, linking the Bankside area with the City of London.
The alignment of the bridge is such that it offers us a clear view of the south façade of St. Paul's Cathedral, framed by the bridge supports.
St Paul's Cathedral is one of the most famous and most recognizable landmarks in London. Its dome, framed by the two towers of the main façade, has dominated the city's skyline for 300 years. At 111 meters high, it was the tallest building in London from 1710 to 1962.
