The Millennium Bridge is a pedestrian suspension bridge made of steel that crosses the River Thames as it passes through London, linking the Bankside area with the City of London.
The alignment of the bridge is such that it offers us a clear view of the south facade of St. Paul's Cathedral, framed by the bridge's supports.
St. Paul's Cathedral is one of London's most famous and recognizable landmarks. Its dome, framed by the two towers of the main facade, has dominated the city skyline for 300 years. At 111 meters tall, it was the tallest building in London from 1710 until 1962.
