Shaped like a dinosaur skeleton, it's an interactive science museum. It occupies approximately 40,000 square meters spread over three floors. Opened to the public on November 13, 2000, it boasts a total of 26,000 square meters of exhibits. Its mission is to foster an interest in scientific and technological knowledge through fun and entertainment. To this end, great importance is placed on the interactivity of the exhibits (its motto is "It's forbidden not to touch, not to feel, not to think").
The building is the work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.
