Santo Domingo Print, SORIA
€19.00
Art print from the Spain Series. Santo Domingo in Soria.
Built in the 12th century, it represents one of the greatest achievements of Spanish Romanesque architecture.
It is considered the true icon of Soria's Romanesque architecture thanks to its monumental and incomparable western facade, for many, the best of Spanish Romanesque architecture.
It was declared a Historical and Artistic Monument in 1931.
The Pantocrator is exceptional, being one of only five examples in the world (all in Spain) of the iconography known as the Paternitas Trinity. The Father has Christ seated upon him, instead of the Virgin.
Printed sheet on 320 gsm paper. High-quality embossing. Measures 23 x 23 cm.
