This cathedral is one of the Castilian buildings that has preserved the most medieval stained-glass windows. Their creation spans from the 14th to the 17th centuries, in addition to 18th-century restorations, reflecting the evolution of the years and changing styles. The oldest and most highly prized stained-glass windows are those in the rose window of the transept and some in the ambulatory, although these have more muted colors. Next are those in the main chapel and those on the north transept arm, on the east side, which feature enormous figures of saints and apostles.
