The Puerta del Sol in Toledo is in the Mudejar style and was built to give access to the walled city. It is a squill door, of a commemorative nature, of great Nasrid influence. It is dated to the last quarter of the 14th century. The access arch is a horseshoe arch and is welcomed by a pointed horseshoe arch. It is built of stone, ashlar and masonry. The battlements, the merlons and the frieze of the door are made of brick. With interlocking lobed arches.
