Art print. The Plaza Mayor of Salamanca
It was built in the period from 1729 to 1756, in the Baroque style. The design is by architect Alberto Churriguera and later continued by others with few modifications compared to the initial project. At the beginning of the 19th century it underwent various urban remodeling, until little by little in the mid-20th century it was stripped of its gardens, central bandstand and public urinals to become open plan.
