Shaped like a dinosaur skeleton, it is an interactive science museum. It occupies around 40,000 m2. spread over three floors. Opened to the public on November 13, 2000, it has a total of 26,000 m2 of exhibitions. Its vocation is to promote interest in scientific and technological knowledge through fun and entertainment. To this end, great importance is attached to the interactivity of the exhibitions (their motto is "No touching, no feeling, no thinking").
The building is the work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava.
