Church of San Miguel print, CABO DE GATA
Art print from the Spain Series. Church of San Miguel in Las Salinas del Cabo de Gata
This small church from the beginning of the 20th century is the southern access point to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park. It is located next to the beach and was built to serve workers in the nearby salt mines. Stylistically, it is characterized by the historicist sobriety and eclecticism typical of the beginning of the 20th century in Almería. The temple was built on a platform to prevent the entry of water and sand, an elevation that gives it a certain air of symbolic superiority.
