The famous mascot Puppy is an iconic modern floral sculpture created by American artist Jeff Koons in 1992, located in front of the Guggenheim Museum. Installed in its current location in October 1997, it represents a Scottish West Highland White Terrier puppy. It consists of a steel structure covered with approximately 38,000 live plants, which are replaced twice a year as they finish blooming, as well as an internal irrigation system. Measuring 12.4 x 12.4 x 8.2 meters, it weighs a total of 16 tons.
An exact copy exists on Peter M. Brant's estate in Connecticut.
