Art Print The Museum and the Estuary, BILBAO
Art print from the Spain Series. The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao
It is a contemporary art museum designed by Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry and is one of the museums belonging to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.
It was inaugurated on October 18, 1997. Consisting of curvilinear and twisted shapes, covered with limestone, glass curtains and titanium sheets.
Within the apparent disorder from the outside, there is a pattern that governs the volumetry. Its shapes are the result of the use of all the elements reaching the maximum curvature that titanium supports.
Gehry is the king of architectural counterpoint, which consists of contrasting very different shapes and materials by placing them together.
