Big Ben & London Eye Art Print, LONDON
Art print from the London Series. Big Ben and London Eye
The Clock Tower, metonymically designated Big Ben, was built as part of the design for a new palace, after the old Palace of Westminster was destroyed by fire. It is designed in a neo-Gothic style and has a height of 96.3 meters.
The London Eye is a 135m observation wheel located on the western edge of Jubilee Gardens. The edge of the London Eye is supported by tensioned steel cables and resembles a huge bicycle wheel. The wheel was built in sections floated down the Thames on barges and assembled on platforms stacked in the river. The London Eye has 32 sealed and air-conditioned passenger cabins, 8 meters long and 4 meters in diameter.
